All-On-4

All-On-4

What is an All-on-4 implant or All-On-6 implant?

The all-on-four procedure is a complete restoration of the upper and or lower arch using dental implants which are fitted to a dental bridge. The all-on-four treatment is a full set of permanent teeth, meaning a permanent solution, that not only feels like natural teeth, but also look identical to natural teeth. All-on-six is a similar method of restoration for missing teeth, but in some unique cases your dentist may recommend to place two more implants for better durability. All-on-4 and All-on 6 are permanent solutions for missing teeth.

Advantages of the All-On-4 implants and All-On-6 Implants solution

  • Price

All-on-4® is the most affordable way to restore teeth in your jaw with a permanent fixation.

  • Simplicity

These type of Implants do not require a complex and expensive plastic surgery dealing with bone and soft tissues

  • Convenience

Maintenance and care of the prosthesis is very simple and you can eat almost any food as before.

How does it work:

  • Consultation. On your first visit the doctor will check your 3D Scan, x-rays, gums. The dentist will then explain to you in detail what will be required and will answer all your questions. On the same day, your dentist may take an impression for your temporary dentures.
  • Day of the Surgery. Regardless if you choose all four or all six implants, the procedure will be made on the same day. Dental implants can be either placed under the local anesthesia (when the patient is fully awake); under general anesthesia (when the patient is fully asleep); or with light sedation combined with local anesthesia (when the patient is drowsy, but still somewhat conscious). Here at Affordable Dentistry of South Florida have years of experience doing dental implants and we can insure and guarantee a pain free dental treatment even under local anesthesia. The dentist may recommend bone grafting if bone level is not adequate. After placing the dental implant, your dentist will provide you with all the post op agreements, all the necessary prescriptions. Additionally, the dentist will provide you with your temporary teeth that you will be using while you are healing during the next couple of months.
  • After one week you should see your dentist for a follow up after the implant surgery. X-rays may be taken during this time.
  • 2-4 month after the implants were placed and once your gums and bone are fully healed, the dentist will take an impression for your permanent teeth.
  • The last step is installing your permanent teeth. It takes about two weeks to create your permanent teeth after taking an impression. Once they are ready,  the dentist will screw in your permanent teeth over the implants and do some final adjustments.

More about All-On-4 implants

  • How many teeth are in All-on-4?

The four implants support a fixed prosthesis with 10 to 14 teeth.

  • Which is better: All-on-4 or all-on-6 dental implants?

The biggest difference between all-on-4 and all-on-6 dental implants is the number of implants (4 vs 6) that are placed in the mouth. Some dentists believe that the all-on-6 dental implants provide a stronger, and a more stable base for the prosthetic dental arch, resulting in a longer-lasting, and more comfortable smile.
